Mendy McMichael

Mendy G. McMichael, RN, DNP, is a practicing nurse with more than 28 years of obstetric experience and 17 years of mental health experience, as well as a nurse educator with ATI Nursing Education. Mendy earned her Bachelors and Masters in nursing from Jacksonville State University (JSU), and Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Public Health from the University of Tennessee. She was an Instructor of Nursing at Jacksonville State University. She was the Nurse Manager of Obstetrics and Pediatrics at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center (NEARMC), where she currently practices as a nursery and NAS nurse. She has served as a consultant for Harris, Cleckler, Hollis & Shamblin, L.L.C., Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and the March of Dimes. She is currently on the breastfeeding task force and the NAS task force at NEARMC. Mendy has frequently been asked to speak or present at local, state, regional, national and international professional forum levels.
